PPMM
The Preschool Progress Monitoring Measure (PPMM) is an assessment that is designed to measure a preschool teacher's implementation fidelity with research-supported practices when monitoring the progress of children with individualized needs. A total of 25 practices pertaining to a teacher's (a) construction of a data sheet, (b) data collection, (c) data analysis, and (d) data-based decision making, are measured using the assessment. To complete the PPMM, a trained assessment administrator (a) observes a teacher collecting progress monitoring data either in-person or through video recording, (b) reviews the data collected by the teacher, and (c) scores the teacher's responses to a questionnaire or interview questions.
A validation study is presently being conducted to understand the psychometric properties of the PPMM and to indicate if revisions are needed. Once evidence of validity is established for the PPMM, trainings on administering and scoring the assessment will be offered. Please refer back to this page for updates.
